History of Ravenclaw Pride Day
If you love the Harry Potter universe, then you know the story of Rowena Ravenclaw, the founder of the Ravenclaw household. Believed to have helped create the name and location of Hogwarts, Rowena continuously improved the school through designing the meticulous, ever-changing floor plans and has helped found a school that has made its name as one of the best wizarding schools in the world to attend.
Her household companions based on the values of wisdom, creativity, cleverness, and a ready mind, values which Rowena prides herself on. There are much mystery and lore associated with Rowena, as she is known as one of the best witches in history, constantly innovating towards the future. Although she died in the eleventh century, it is said she died of a broken heart because of her daughter Helena’s betrayal.
Ravenclaw Pride Day started through the Pottermore website as a way for people to celebrate the house known for its gold and blue pride. The website was designed by the author J.K Rowling, who wrote the novels and helped direct the Harry Potter series.
People all over the world who are fans of the Wizarding World express the pride of their household by wearing their house colors and celebrating with friends and family how much they love the Harry Potter universe. Alongside Slytherin, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff, the Ravenclaw household is a place where the eccentric and intelligent gather, solving riddles and having philosophical discussions about wizardry and the world around them.
