History of the Wine Days Festival in Armenia
The Yerevan Wine Days Festival began in 2017 and quickly became one of Armenia’s most anticipated annual events. Created by EventToura, it was designed to celebrate Armenia’s deep-rooted winemaking traditions while boosting tourism.
Initially featuring only 20 local winemakers and drawing around 10,000 visitors, it has since grown exponentially. Today, it hosts over 70 winemakers, showcases more than 600 types of wine, and attracts crowds of over 120,000 people, including many international tourists.
The festival transforms the streets of Yerevan—particularly Saryan, Tumanyan, and Moskovyan—into vibrant hubs of wine, food, and music. Visitors enjoy not only wine tastings but also live music, culinary pairings, and cultural performances.
It has become a significant cultural and economic event, helping to position Armenia as a key player in the global wine market while also promoting its heritage as one of the world’s oldest winemaking regions.
